STAFF SHOUT BOX
THE LION says, Everyone give a shout out to Tabby for purchasing our cbox! Yay premium! No more refreshing for us, we too hipster. I love all the activity, keep it up guys! Just remember to not make too many of one type of character! We need normal human students and omega wolves!
TABBY CAT says, hello to all you knew people! And welcome back, those of you who were here before! We've just started, but there's so much activity already! I'm so proud of all of you! There are so many interesting characters, so lets keep it up and start up some in character threads!
This is where the staff will put any and all announcements that you need to hear. Make sure you read them carefully, as they apply to all members of the site.
If you need some practice, you're new to roleplay, or are having trouble meeting the word count, this is your place. This is our "RP School" where an admin will assist you in any way we can.
After you have read the rules, it is time to post up your character in here. Bios that have been unfinished after one week will be moved to the archives. When your bio is complete, post a link to it in the notification thread. You may not play a character until it has been accepted by a staff member!
This is the dorm for the human students. It has two large floor-to-ceiling windows on the back wall overlooking the edge of campus. Four pillars are present in the main room, and there are two sets of stairs leading up to a landing with a door on the left and right that houses the dorms. The floors are co-ed, but the rooms themselves are same-sex rooms. The walls are a lush wood, and the floor in the main room is white granite, giving it a luxurious appeal.
This is the dorm for the werewolf students. The floors are co-ed, but the rooms themselves are same-sex rooms. It has a bit more security measures taken to insure the safety of the other students (in particular, the vampires). The gated entrance has been built in a manner in which when it is closed, the Twilight students are sealed away from the rest of the school. The windows are reinforced with glass thicker than shark aquariums and the walls are layered with cement. On the outside, it’s a normal dorm, but on the inside it’s a fortress built to keep its residents inside.
This is the dorm for the vampire students. The floors are co-ed, but the rooms themselves are same-sex rooms. It has a limited number of windows, made to keep the sun away while the Night Class is trying to sleep. The gate it high, mostly to keep the humans out, and the building itself is elegant. Inside is mildly clean and fancy, decorated it expensive furnishings and famous works of art, but the chairs and tables look rarely used.
This is the section of Cross Academy dedicated to the various classes we offer here. Each classroom is equipped with seating for up to 200 students. It also has a wooden desk for the professor's things, as well as two large blackboards on the back wall. There are two windows against one wall of the classrooms that allow light in.
This is one of the largest areas indoors. It has enough room for two thirds of the school's population at any given time. There are bench's set up in the middle, as in any school's lunch room. Around the back three walls of the room are different options for students to choose. Anything from home cooked meals to fast food is available at the whim of the students. They can choose to sit inside and dine, or outside where there are tables for four set up in a small courtyard.
Cobblestone paths intersect at this one point. The courtyard is a lovely little place for students to sit and relax. It is circular shaped and has a small fountain in the center of a mid-sized rectangular wading pool. Red roses that bloom year-round grow around the perimeter of the area. There are stone benches set up around the edges, and there is a large green space in the center for playing Frisbee or other games. It is in the very center of the grounds.
Shadows roost thickly in the vaulted ceiling, and small, green-shaded desk lamps cast pools of warm radiance here and there around the library’s dim interior. The room itself is gargantuan. There are only a few windows lining the oak-paneled walls, and usually thick drapes obstruct the view to the outside (to avoid distractions as the staff claims). A vast maze of unyielding, wooden bookshelves tower high, housing assortments of weighty tomes and textbooks. There are tables and chairs scattered about in convenient locations for students to read and let the hushed peacefulness soak in.
The sterile environment is condusive to keeping everyone here healthy and happy. The walls on the far side from the door are lined with beds, separated by curtains that can be pulled up to block patients who wish for privacy. There is a desk near the door where the nurse sits, and behind that desk is a cabinet with medical supplies for literally any need a student has. It is very well equipped for the unusual inhabitants of the school.
Exercise and play is a generally important factor to youth. Additionally it assists in the control of flaring tempers and helps teach students the significance of teamwork. The Games Ground consists of two enormous areas, one indoor and one outdoor. Inside it holds the appearance of a well equipped gymnasium. There are basketball hoops, volleyball and badminton nets and rackets, exercise mats, and even a quarter meant for fencing/kendo training. Two steel doors lead to the outdoors: a large grassy field boarded off by ridiculously tall fences. A cement track rounds a sports ground meant for either baseball and both forms of football. There's archery and the poll jump too.
If you're a student looking to swim, come on to the natatorium. An olympic-sized swimming pool with a diving board one end, and six lanes separated by buoy's. It is used for recreation or the swim team. Whichever suits your fancy. It is open twenty-four-seven for students and teachers alike to use. It is heated in the winter, and well-lit at night. No lifeguard on duty, so swim at your own risk.
This barn is quite simple compared to the ornateness of the school It is made of wood, and has a black shingle roof. It has two sliding doors at either end of a long corridor. Stalls line the hallway, enough for plenty of horses to reside in. Students may either bring their own horse, or use one of the school's. The floors are dirt, but the stall floors are covered in straw. It is a very pleasant place, set apart from most of the buildings on the grounds. Just outside is a small arena where the horses may be ridden. There are also various trails leading through the academy grounds.
Bits and pieces of this large forest make up a majority of the island, but the most concentrated area is on Cross Academy's grounds. The woods appear in large patches, with the most notably sized area being out and around the Night Class dorms. There is also a large patch at the back of the stables, but watch out! The bluff that plummets off the edge of the island is back there in those trees. Students are, technically, forbidden to enter. However, some sneak in to peek at the Night Class students.
This is one of the crown jewels of Cross Academy. The floors are a tan granite, polished to shine. The walls are a soft tan, and the windows are accented with long, velvet curtains that are the color of blood. It is truly a place for entertaining, with a full sized dance floor and a grand staircase that participants at the events held her will descend down, making their grand entrance.
This complex was bought by Cross Academy with the introduction of the new year. It is a two story apartment complex with bedrooms fit for one or two people. It is located within walking distance of the school, and it is where the teacher's live until they find a place to stay. Either that, or they can choose to live there permenantly. The rooms are standard with a small kitchen, one to two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a small living area.
This is the epicenter of the whole town. It has a large pool in the center that almost always has ducks swimming around in it. The streets are an old-fashioned cobblestone, and the buildings have their original structures. This part of town is always bustling with life.
This is a nice little place to go when you're having a bad day. It's run by an elderly couple and they have the best ice cream in town. The parlor has a wood floors, tiny tables, and an outside area to eat if the day is nice. The flavors change daily, so you never know what you're going to get. They also serve hot foods like hamburgers and hotdogs.
Atrax was once a booming steel refinery. In it's glory days it stood proud and gleaming in the town. It was shut down 10 years ago due to failing security inspections. Everything was left behind. It is a very dangerous place because this is where the Level E's roam.
This is the board where you can talk about anything! You can also play games and give suggestions about the site! Some of these boards are also available to guests!
Need an image or can't find a reference pic? Perhaps you want a table made for your character, but are unsure how to proceed? This is the place for you! Someone will come to your aide here in this board! You may also show off your work, and test tables here.
This is the board to post your introductions to the site, or post that you will be away. It helps us keep track of who is gone, as well as allows new members to get their names out there.
