Hello potential student and/or teacher!! Before you begin, there are a few things your had better know right away.
First, Whispers in the Dark is an alternate universe Vampire Knight rp. Meaning, we are based largely upon the anime, but we've expanded the world in a pretty big way and we just don't feel comfortable claiming it can be in the same universe as the original.
Secondly, there are only original characters here. There should be a certain equality among our student body and to achieve that, we feel everyone should play their own character and not one designed to be the star of the show. We are all the stars of our own show.
And finally, we are rated PG-13. We know our limits, but we love to use them to the fullest.
Your pre-orientation is now complete. If we seem like the place for you, check out the plot and the rest of the rules and don't be afraid to ask us anything in the cbox!
Very sorry, but purebloods and alphas are banned to beginning members. Once you have at least one character and show us you keep it active, please feel free to post a pureblood or alpha character to be considered.

The school has finally opened its doors to the... well, it's not so public yet.
All students are here by invitation only for now. Why? Because Cross Academy is a school unlike
any other... and not just because their school year begins in winter. Grades levels
(meaning freshman, sophomore, etc.) don't really matter much here. After all, the
students aren't just here to learn. We're all here to try to coexist. That's our main
priority. Teaching kids as we do it is just a bonus.

Today we have converted the proboards shoutbox into an ic cbox!! We have a new ooc cbox on the side tables. Hopefully this will help us all keep up with who's who when we get more members/memebers start making multiple characters.

We are hard at work redoing everything for WITD. It's been years and we are all older and wiser now, so it's time to give this site another shot! Let's get this thing back open!!
Inside a large glass building is an Olympic sized swimming pool with a diving board at one end and six lanes separated by buoys across the other. It is used for recreation and swim team practice. Whichever suits your fancy. It is open twenty-four-seven for students and teachers alike to use. The water is heated in the winter and well lit at night. No lifeguard is on duty, so swim at your own risk.
This barn is quite simple compared to the ornateness of the rest of the school. It is made of wood, and has a black shingle roof. Two sliding doors open at either end of a long corridor lined with stalls. The floors are dirt, but the stall floors are covered in straw. Just outside is a small arena, including a patch of fenced off forest, where the horses may be ridden.

Game Grounds
Exercise and play is an important factor to youth. It assists in the control of flaring tempers and helps teach students the significance of teamwork. Indoors there is a well equipped gymnasium. Awaiting within are basketball hoops, volleyball and badminton nets and rackets, exercise mats, and even a room meant for fencing/kendo training. Two steel doors lead to the outdoors: a large grassy field lined by ridiculously tall fences. A massive cement track circles a grassy area meant for soccer and football. Away from the track is an archery range and runway for poll jump too.
