Speaking English was... easy enough. Sometimes he still got words confused, and didn't always know how to translate what he was thinking in the moment. But as all words and phrases typically did, they would come to him later on. He prided himself on the fact that at least he didn't think his accent was too thick. All these things with another language he was pleased with.
Reading the English language when it came to academic text, however, was another thing entirely. His speech was formal compared to other students, considering this was his second language he had yet to pick up the habits of slang. Even still, this was just downright ridiculous. He lifted the book he was reading and shoved it closer to his face, as if shortening the distance between him and the preposterous font would make him understand it faster. Yet Sayeh, unfortunately, had no such luck.
So he looked to the student nearest to him and opened his mouth as if to speak, to ask what it meant before he just snapped his maw shut and stood abruptly. No, there was no need to ask when he could simply go grab a dictionary from one of the shelves. Yet, as he circled around shelf after shelf he could not find one. The young omega whined softly to himself and rested his forehead against the shelf in defeat after about half an hour of searching, then sauntered back to his seat. If he'd had his tail, it would have been easily tucked between his legs as he sat.
Sometimes asking for help wasn't so bad, right? So he sucked in a deep breath and turned towards the nearest student again, "Do you know where the dictionaries are located? I looked for them and I could not seem to find them." His cheeks darkened in a blush, and he could tell even his ears were red from how hot they were. It was embarrassing to have to ask something so simple, but he would live. Maybe.
